This is the shocking moment a concrete pavement drops away without warning and swallows three parked cars.
The CCTV footage is from 24th August and shows the collapse in the Floresta district of Porto Alegre, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.
The video shows the slabs giving way abruptly, with all three vehicles dropping into the hole in a matter of seconds.
The pavement caved in on Rua Almirante Tamandare on the morning of Monday, 24th August, outside an importing company.
Nobody was inside the cars, no pedestrians were passing at the time and there were no injuries.
Workers in the neighbouring offices felt the building shake and ran outside to find the vehicles sitting in the hole.
Priscila Pereira, a human resources coordinator whose car was one of the three, said the impact sent a strong vibration through the commercial block before everyone left their rooms.
Beneath the pavement runs a concrete storm drainage culvert, laid about 2.4 metres (7.9 feet) down, which carries a canalised stretch of a stream.
Vicente Perrone, coordinator at the municipal water and sewerage department, said the channel had once been an open watercourse before being roofed over with slabs.
The council said emergency work began the same morning and that the culvert will have to be rebuilt in full before the pavement itself can be repaired.
Civil Defence and fire crews sealed off the area to stop anyone else falling in and to allow the cars to be lifted out.
Traffic was halted at the junction with Rua Santos Dumont and drivers told to avoid the area entirely.
The council said access to the pipe will need specialist teams working in a confined space, and gave no date for completion.
It is currently unclear what caused the pavement to give way.
