This is the moment a woman appearing as a fantasy fairy is left hanging upside down with her arms and legs flailing as the attraction she was attached to spins round at a fairground in China before she is rescued.
The incident where the woman appeared to be at risk of dropping onto her head happened near a market in Lai Shui County, Baoding, in Hebei Province, northern China, on the evening of 21st August.
The first scene shows the performer suspended alongside two other performers as they rotate above the ground.
But further images show her hanging upside down after the setup had returned relatively close to the ground.
As she struggles to right herself, a man rushes after her and catches her as she hangs inverted.
The man then helps her return to the proper position as the situation is brought under control.
Local officials later confirmed that the performer was not injured following the incident.
The Lai Shui County Bureau of Culture and Tourism said on 22nd August that the incident was suspected to have been caused by a performer's error.
Officials said: "The accident was suspected to have been caused by the performer not maintaining her balance."
The department confirmed that the performance had been stopped because of safety risks associated with the act.
The show involved performers being suspended and rotated in the air using a crane, with officials saying the setup presented enough safety concerns to stop it so these could be addressed.
The Bureau of Culture and Tourism confirmed that the programme had been halted and that relevant departments were discussing how the incident should be dealt with.
A social media post accompanying the footage also questioned whether the performance had received the necessary approval and raised concerns about the use of a large crane during the act.
