This footage reportedly shows a US Navy destroyer launching a salvo of Tomahawk cruise missiles at Iran during a fresh overnight assault.

The footage was obtained from US Central Command (CENTCOM) and was filmed aboard the USS Michael Murphy at an undisclosed location on 10th June, as American forces struck targets across Iran for a second straight day.

The video shows the USS Michael Murphy, a guided-missile destroyer, firing multiple Tomahawks into the darkness.

CENTCOM said in a statement: "US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed additional self-defense strikes against multiple targets in Iran, June 10, at the Commander in Chief's direction.

"CENTCOM forces launched strikes on Iranian military surveillance capabilities, communication systems, and air defense sites across Iran.

"US Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy assets fired precision munitions on Iranian targets that posed a threat to US forces and international commercial ships transiting regional waters.

"The strikes are in response to Iran's unwarranted and continued aggression.

"US forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready."

The strikes followed a warning from President Donald Trump, who said Tehran had dragged out talks on a deal to end the war.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Iran had been offered a chance for peace but had refused it.

Iran reportedly retaliated by firing on American bases in the region, with its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claiming to have struck an American military command post in Jordan. Jordan has said that the missiles were intercepted.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country "will stand firm against any pressure or threat."

Brigadier General Majid Mousavi, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, said: "We will turn the region into hell for you from across Iran if you make the sacred Strait of Hormuz unsafe."

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned the Middle East was "being pulled deeper into crisis."
