This footage shows two deputies saving the life of a young girl after she fell into a swimming pool and stopped breathing.
The video was obtained from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) on 10th June and shows the incident in Greenville County, in the US state of South Carolina.
The clip shows the deputies arriving on the scene and taking the child from a woman's arms before performing resuscitation procedures, with the tot beginning to cry as she starts to breathe again.
The officers then rush the child over to an ambulance for further treatment.
The GCSO said in a statement: "In a single second, life can change forever.
"Recently, a young child fell into a swimming pool and stopped breathing. Those critical moments that followed could have ended in unimaginable heartbreak.
"Instead, because of the swift actions, training, and determination of Deputy Jordan Stevenson and Deputy Connor O'Shields, a little girl was given a chance to keep living her story.
"When deputies answer calls, they never know what they will encounter. Some days it's enforcing the law. Some days it's helping someone in need. And some days, it's standing between life and death.
"The actions of Deputy Stevenson and Deputy O'Shields exemplify the kind of men and women who wear the Greenville County Sheriff's Office badge.
"Their professionalism, quick thinking, and commitment to serving others made all the difference when seconds mattered most."
The statement continued: "Today, we are grateful. Grateful for a positive outcome. Grateful for the training that prepared these deputies. And grateful for two deputies whose actions remind us why this profession matters.
"Great job, Deputy Jordan Stevenson and Deputy Connor O'Shields. Your service made a difference that will last a lifetime."
